Puppy and Kitten Care

kitten2We understand that your new puppy or kitten is an important member of your family. That’s why we offer free health checks at 16 weeks for every puppy or kitten that comes to us for their first appointment and vaccinations.

It is important to consider whether you would like to de-sex your kitten or puppy.  We highly reccomend that you do this at 4 - 6 months of age, in order to help prevent major health problems later in life, including cancer and life threatening infections.

At your first consultation, we will also discuss whether you would like a microchip for your puppy or kitten. This is quick and relatively pain-free procedure, which provides a permanent way to identify your pet. Your details will be added to a national database and, should your pet ever be lost, any vet, ranger or animal shelter who finds them will be easily able to contact you.

When you bring your new puppy or kitten for their first appointment, you will also receive an information pack, filled with useful hints and tips for caring for your new best friend.
